Cincinnati had driven the ball to the West Virginia 14-yard line and was setting up for a 31-yard game tying field goal on the last play of regulation, when Senior Safety Eain Smith stepped up and made a play.

Smith shot the gap and got his mitts up enough to block the Tony Miliano's attempt and preserve a 24-21 victory for the Mountaineers in front of 48,152 in Paul Brown Stadium.
