Holgorsen's Take: Spring Practice No. 9
West Virginia held the first of three scheduled spring scrimmages during practice No. 9 Sunday evening and Head Coach Dana Holgorsen was encouraged by what he saw out of his team in its first live ball experience.
The first eight practices of the spring were dedicated to solely on drill work and the normal routine, but Sunday provided a chance to see the Mountaineers get back to playing football with the 72-play offense against defense setup.
Holgorsen was pleased with the situational work out of the offensive unit, especially in the areas of third down conversions and red zone percentages. All a part of what must improve over the season, as the Mountaineers strive to become more efficient and consistent on the offensive side of the ball.
