Baltimore (Md.) Dunbar quarterback William Crest has patterned some of his game off West Virginia senior Geno Smith, and the junior signal caller was in the stands for a record setting performance by the Mountaineers quarterback two weeks ago.

"I was amazed by his performance but for him to unleash like that it was incredible to see. And with my own two eyes it was special," he said.

Crest, 6-foot-2, 190-pounds, made an unofficial visit to Morgantown for the Mountaineers Big 12 Conference opener and he was impressed with the offensive display by West Virginia.
