Barber hoping bye leads to improvement

WVSports.com Much of the talk in recent weeks has been centered on the struggles of the West Virginia defense in the Mountaineers first season of Big 12 Conference play and sophomore linebacker Jared Barber is hoping that after a successful two weeks of practice that talk will be directed towards the unit's improvement.
The Mountaineers went back to almost a camp like approach working on the basic fundamentals of lining up properly and tackling and even though it's considered an off-week, it was anything but.
"We had a tough week for sure, but it gave us some help stepping back," he said.
