It's back to school for the West Virginia defense.

Following a string of difficult, uninspired performances to open up the 2012 season, Co-Defensive Coordinators Joe DeForest and Keith Patterson returned to square one during the recent off week in an effort to fix the defensive mess.

And the result was a return to the fundamentals, in an effort to correct a slew of defensive errors.
