Level draws first start

Although the performance was slightly marred by the breakdown at the end of regulation, West Virginia's defense showed major improvement against TCU.

The Mountaineers forced six three and outs in the contest and was able to generate consistent pressure on Horned Frogs quarterback Trevone Boykin, while covering up in the backend.

One of the new faces out there Saturday was former walk-on cornerback Cecil Level, who drew his first career start at safety in place of junior Darwin Cook. Level got word that he was going to be getting the start earlier this week due to his effort on the practice field.
