Holgorsen's Take: Iowa State Prep

After a one-point loss to Oklahoma this past weekend, West Virginia will get exactly what they needed to get back on the football field with a short week of preparation before the Mountaineers travel to Iowa State for a Friday afternoon matchup.

"Obviously one day shorter, which I think is good because I think we need to be out there and be playing again," head coach Dana Holgorsen said.

The head man saw signs of improvement from his team against the Sooners, especially offensively, and on the defensive side the Mountaineers played well in spurts but allowed too many big plays.
