West Virginia will travel to Orlando this week to compete in the 2012 Old Spice Classic and head coach Bob Huggins understands that the Mountaineers will need to show marked improvement over the season opener.

The Mountaineers were thoroughly dominated by Gonzaga 84-50, in a game that Huggins believes his team did not play with the effort required to win at this level of competition.

"We have a tendency to watch instead of playing. We don't compete for balls, we don't react, we just watch," he said. "Been trying to work on that."
