Recruiting Notebook: Signing Day Primer





West Virginia currently has 24 commitments in the class of 2013 and with national signing day on the horizon there is potential to add even more to the total package.

Prospects: There are several prospects that are most likely set to make their decisions known on national signing day and this is a quick breakdown of each one of those.

Clairton (Pa.) wide receiver Tyler Boyd. A Rivals.com four-star prospect Boyd listed West Virginia as his favorite throughout his early recruitment, until a late surge by Pittsburgh resulted in a commitment to the Panthers at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Things looked to be done there, until Boyd made a surprise visit to West Virginia the weekend of Jan. 25 and then followed that up with a trip to Tennessee the following weekend. The Mountaineers appear to be running in third at the moment, but it's one we will be watching as he plans to announce his final decision at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
