Buford (Ga.) athlete Tre Neal had remained patient but was starting to wonder when his first scholarship would come, and that question was answered last week when West Virginia extended an offer.

Neal, 6-foot-2, 185-pounds, had spoken with the West Virginia coaching staff but the scholarship offer came as a complete surprise.
