Attrition and a lack of leadership. Pat Eger is a workhorse who has stuck through the program despite a bad right ankle, but his knowledge of each position is limited to the previous regimes. He began as a tackle, shifted to guard, then filled in at center against Syracuse last December.
Bill Bedenbaugh's departure meant a whole new scheme. Ron Crook has to install his calls, his training and his movements, as well he should. Meanwhile, Tyler Orlosky entered spring as a center after training as a guard for Bedenbaugh his redshirt season.
