Rigg relishing veteran role on defense

With the departure of Najee Goode following last season the Mountaineers had more to fill than a linebacker slot coming into spring camp - they had to find a new team leader.

Throw in the transition to a new defense and coaching staff, and team leadership becomes a priority for the young squad.

Enter junior linebacker Doug Rigg. Following a solid 2011 season, highlighted by nine total tackles in the loss to LSU, Rigg is prepared to step into the role of leader and mentor in the upcoming season.
