Alston leaves it all on the field

There was a point last spring that Shawne Alston thought he might not ever play another down in college football after suffering through a lingering neck injury that kept him out for the entire spring and half of the season. So getting back onto the field last year, he understood that taking things for granted would not be an option.

And it's that mindset that's put the now healthy senior running back in a great position this spring, drawing rave reviews from Head Coach Dana Holgorsen for his efforts and even calling for the head man to openly reconsider some of his prior statements about the potential of an expanded role for Alston in the offense.
