Do you have progress reports on the recoveries of Garrison, Garvin, Snow and Miller to their injuries?

According to all reports, all of the injured Mountaineers are progressing well from their respective surgeries and are on schedule to be back and ready to go by the time fall camp comes around.

Which will be higher?

Sack totals from this year of last year. After recording 31 sacks and finishing 25th in the country as a team a season ago, the Mountaineers will have their work cut out for them to replace those numbers with a slew of new faces. However, the new 3-4 multiple defense should be much more aggressive than the 3-3-5 scheme that West Virginia fans have grown accustomed to as it will attempt to force more turnovers by pressuring the quarterback. This in turn should present more opportunities for sacks especially with the extra bodies up front in certain sets and the fact that the Mountaineers will be seeing more pass heavy offenses in the Big 12 conference. But how will the Mountaineers replace the prowess of Bruce Irvin and Julian Miller in getting to the quarterback and can the defensive line get enough pressure on its own? We'll see if the new scheme translates into results, but without seeing the defense in action it's hard to make an educated guess. However, for the sake of answering I'm going to stray from the safe side and take the unknown … this year.
