Big 12 Introductions: Getting to know Oklahoma State

With West Virginia's move to the Big 12 Conference this July, the Mountaineers will embark on a new journey on the field and the hardwood against a set of new faces in new locations. Here's WVSports.com's introductory look at Oklahoma State.

Location: Stillwater, Oklahoma. (18 hours and 25 minutes from Morgantown)
Founded: 1890
Enrollment: 23,522
Schedule: West Virginia travels to Oklahoma State Nov. 10.

The defending champions of the Big 12, Oklahoma State is coming off its first league title in school history and its second major bowl after defeating Stanford in the Fiesta Bowl. Mike Gundy has been the head coach for the Cowboys for the last seven seasons, and played for the school during the late 1980's. Gundy took over Les Miles after he departed for LSU and had served as the Cowboys offensive coordinator before that. Over his tenure, he's compiled a 59-30 record including 4-2 in bowl games, and he was named Big 12 Coach of the Year in 2010.
