Brophy speedster visiting Oregon

The Oregon Ducks loaded up at wide receiver in recent years, and for the class of 2013 they are looking at signing one or two with San Diego four-star Darren Carrington already committed. Luckily for Devon Allen, his foot speed is helping keep his options open.

Duck Sports Authority caught up with the 6-foot-1, 190-pound Brophy Prep star as he prepares to take a trip to Eugene on Friday.

"Technically it is an official for both football and track but track is paying for the official visit," said Allen.

Allen's speed is well-known in Arizona and nationally. In fact, Allen broke a 32-year-old state record in the 110-meter high hurdles this summer with a time of 13.62. This coupled with his ability on the football field has left him with a vast array of options for the next four years.
