Basketball Non-conference Review: Part 1

Coming off a 13-19 season, losing a number of key contributors from the previous year along the way, it would be easy to hold the early part of the 2013-2014 season to a different standard. A standard of mediocre acceptance, perhaps.

With a roster jam-packed full of young, unproven players, Bob Huggins and the Mountaineers have attacked one of the most difficult non-conference with the same vigor and expectations as the 2010 season. However, the reality of the situation has struck West Virginia through its first 12 games, as the Mountaineers prepare to enter Big 12 play with a 7-5 record.
