Lewis picks WVU

West Virginia added its fourth commitment to the class of 2015 when Miramar (Fla.) wide receiver Kahlil Lewis announced on social media that he had selected the Mountaineers.

"I am officially verbally committed to West V #Mountaineers $WVG," he wrote.

Lewis, 6-foot-1, 180-pounds, picked up his first offer from West Virginia and at the time was very excited to kick start his recruiting with a scholarship from the Mountaineers.

"When he told me I was speechless," remarked Lewis. "He (Cogdell) was like you aren't going to say anything? I was like I don't know to say. I was happy. I told all my friends."

The junior selected the Mountaineers over offers from Nebraska and Western Michigan and interest from many more schools including Washington State, running backs coach JaJuan Seider served as the lead recruiter for the Rivals.com three-star prospect.

"Coach Seider talks to me all the time just to say how are you doing," noted Lewis. "He said he is coming down next week for our game. I'm planning to get there this summer along with some other places."

Lewis finished his season with 20 catches for 372 yards and four touchdowns. He joins WR Jovon Durante, RB William Cameron and DE/TE Stone Wolfley in the class.
