West Virginia added yet another transfer into the football program when former Miami tight end Jovani Haskins committed to the Mountaineers.

Haskins, 6-foot-4, 245-pounds, redshirted during his only season with the Hurricanes and then elected to leave the program in June.

The talented tight end visited Morgantown over the past couple days and then elected to commit to the Mountaineers giving the program even more firepower at that spot on the roster. He also could potentially play wide receiver as well.

A one-time West Virginia recruit, Haskins took an official visit to Morgantown as a high school senior before eventually electing to commit to Miami late in the process.

He also held offers from Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, North Carolina, Illinois, Mississippi and Iowa as a high-school prospect.

A native of Bergenfield, New Jersey, Haskins will have three years of eligibility remaining as a redshirt sophomore after sitting out due to NCAA transfer rules next fall.

Haskins makes the second transfer from Miami to choose the Mountaineers as their new destination this summer following in the footsteps of quarterback Jack Allison.

WVSports.com will have more on this developing story.
