West Virginia basketball has work to do after Gonzaga tilt
Bob Huggins isn’t much for moral victories if it comes on the losing side of a basketball game. Not even against the top rated teams in the nation.
That holds true even when his No. 11 West Virginia club battled No. 1 Gonzaga to the wire in an 87-82 defeat in the Jimmy V Classic.
According to Huggins, there simply isn’t a place for what ifs in the game of basketball because one team will always walk away happy while the other is on the opposite end of the spectrum.
The latter was where the Mountaineers found themselves Wednesday night.
