2025 DE Brooks set for West Virginia visit

Muncie (In.) Delta 2025 athlete Landon Brooks hasn’t been to West Virginia but that will be changing in the near future with a visit scheduled for this coming weekend.

Brooks, 6-foot-6, 200-pounds, received a scholarship offer from the Mountaineers after a conversation with tight ends coach Blaine Stewart.

The Big 12 Conference joins schools such as Michigan State, Missouri, Purdue and Toledo along with interest from several others.

“Coach Stewart was a really nice guy, and they love my film,” he said.

The coaching staff invited Brooks to the junior day event this weekend and he is excited to make the trip to find out more about what West Virginia has to offer.

The Mountaineers are targeting Brooks as an edge and the coaching staff has been impressed with his overall skill set as well as his production.

“They love my speed and my frame,” he said.

The trip to Morgantown will be the latest in a series of stops which has included Tennessee, Notre Dame, and Purdue. There is no timetable for a decision, but West Virginia will have their chance to impress him with what they have to offer this coming weekend.

“I’m mainly looking for a good home and a school where I am really wanted and respected,” he said. “And a good relationship with the coaches is the main thing.”
