2025 OL Bell impressed with first trip to West Virginia

Macomb (Mi.) Dakota 2025 offensive lineman Justin Bell had never been to West Virginia but can now check that off the list after his weekend stop on campus for an official visit.

Bell, 6-foot-8, 295-pounds, had been on the Mountaineers' radar since May when he received a scholarship offer from offensive line coach Matt Moore during the evaluation period.

The Rivals.com three-star prospect made it to campus to get a first-hand look at everything the school had to offer and didn’t leave disappointed with what he saw.

“The visit was great. The coaching staff and the players all made me feel like I was already a part of the team and that was great overall,” he said.

Bell was also able to sit down with the strength and conditioning staff in order to go over how they assist athletes as well as the recovery aspect of the program.

“Their strength coach seems to be a great coach and that’s a thing that’s important in my development,” he said. “The recovery they have at the school is crazy. Some things I had never heard of, and it was really cool to learn about what they had.”

West Virginia is targeting Bell as an offensive tackle and likes his size and athleticism at the position. The coaching staff made it no secret that they see a ton of potential in his skill set.

By the end of the trip, the Mountaineers solidified themselves firmly in the pecking order for Bell as he sorts through his options. He is coming off a trip to Indiana and admitted that three schools are standing out although he didn’t want to elaborate on those options.

Still, West Virginia definitely impressed.

“It was great, and they are definitely a top school for me when it comes down to my commitment,” he said.
