Class of 2017 Recruiting Exit Interviews: Eugene Brown

With much of the class of 2017 set to make their way to Morgantown in May or early June, WVSports.com catches up with the class to perform an exit interview with the recruiting process and get to know each of the prospects a little better on a personal level. Today, we speak with Stone Mountain (Ga.) Tucker safety Eugene Brown.

Brown, 6-foot, 190-pounds, received an offer from West Virginia and immediately vaulted the Mountaineers to the top of his list. After making a visit, the hard-hitting safety elected to commit to the program in June and never wavered.

The hard-hitting Brown actually started as a basketball player.

Tell me a little bit about your background? Family life?

EB: I have one brother, he’s 16. He also plays football. I have a little sister who’s 14 and she plays AAU basketball. I have two older sisters and they’re grown. I live with my mother, father and grandmother. I’ve always lived in the Atlanta area but when I was growing up I played basketball. My mother is tall and she was a great athlete had a whole bunch of scholarships in basketball. My athleticism comes from her and my first year of playing football was when I was 13-years old.

What is one thing you’d like people to know about you that maybe they don’t by looking at a Rivals.com profile?

EB: The anger that I’ve got in me and my aggression because I don’t show that unless I’m on the field.
