Young was once committed to West Virginia before flipping to the Spartans and spent two seasons there with their football program. He appeared in 20 games and the Georgia native saw his time increase this past year with 26 tackles and 1.5 sacks while seeing the field in every contest. The history here makes him an attractive option and he would have two years of eligibility left at his next stop.

King spent only two seasons at Grand Valley State and is coming off a highly productive 2023 campaign with 28 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss and 10 sacks to go along with 3 forced fumbles. The Michigan native would have two seasons of eligibility remaining and is an interesting option on the defensive line.

Briggs spent six years at Florida State but dealt with injuries and had a COVID-19 year so he will have one year remaining. During his time in Tallahassee, Briggs appeared in almost 40 games and was productive with 78 tackles and 9.5 tackles for loss.

Linton spent four seasons at Syracuse where he appeared in 29 games over his career, which included two starts and totaled 45 tackles with the Orange, including 8.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. Transferred to Texas Tech where he appeared in eight games and recorded 4.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. Has one season left in his career.

Powell appeared in 36 games at Washington including starting all 15 during his final season with the Huskies. Over his three years, Powell recorded 92 tackles, 12 passes defended and 3 interceptions. The 2023 season was his most productive with 38 tackles, 9 passes defended and 3 interceptions. Powell has one year of eligibility remaining in his career and the Washington native should be in high demand.

Smith started his career at Colorado but did not see the field. Transferred to Austin Peay, where he recorded 75 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, a sack and 7 pass breakups. The Georgia native would have three years of eligibility remaining in his career.

The Alabama native spent four seasons at Duke but will now use his COVID-19 season elsewhere after a senior year where he racked up 82 tackles, a sack and a pick. Stinson has yet to be offered by West Virginia but could fill an obvious need in the secondary.

Green played in 18 games over his two seasons with the Washington football program including all 15 this past season. In 2023, Green recorded 12 tackles and a pass breakup and the Texas native is a young option with two years remaining.

A veteran defensive back who has appeared in 46 games during his time with the Longhorns. Crawford recorded 61 tackles and an interception across that time including 24 stops this past season. The Texas native has one season left in his career and is a veteran defensive back looking for a fresh start in his final year.

Robinson started his career at Alabama where he spent three seasons and played sparingly with just 2 tackles and a sack. After transferring to Colorado, Robinson appeared in seven games and recorded 9 tackles and an interception. The Florida native would have one season of eligibility remaining in his career.

Johnson is a recruit that's been on the West Virginia radar several times first as a high recruit recruit at Bluefield until he moved to California and then when he entered the transfer portal but then elected to return to Arizona State. Johnson spent two seasons with the Sun Devils where he recorded 16 tackles and would have two seasons left.

Gannon defensive back Kam Snell

Snell spent five seasons at Gannon where he compiled 108 tackles, 21 passes defended and 5 interceptions during that time. He put together his most productive season in 2023 when he recorded 46 tackles and 5 interceptions being named All-PSAC West in the process. Gannon would have one season of eligibility remaining and is a native of Maryland where he spent his high school career at Good Counsel.
