Valdosta (Ga.) cornerback Jayce Rogers was a top target for West Virginia at the position in this cycle and the Mountaineers were able to secure his pledge following a visit to campus Saturday.

Rogers, 5-foot-8, 160-pounds, made the trek up to Morgantown from the Peach State and decided that he had seen enough casting his lot with head coach Dana Holgorsen’s football program.

The Mountaineers had been considered the leader for much of the process but Rogers decided to seal the deal on a commitment after spending the day touring the campus and interacting with the coaches.
