West Virginia has landed its second wide receiver pledge in as many days when Houston (Tx.) North Shore wide receiver Ralph Davis committed to the Mountaineers Thursday.

Davis, 6-foot, 173-pounds, selected the Mountaineers over offers from Mississippi and several others and announced his choice on his twitter account Thursday afternoon.

“I am shutting down my recruiting process to follow in my family’s footsteps. I will be attending my dream school,” Davis wrote.

The Rivals.com three-star prospect took an unofficial visit to Morgantown last week and was able to spend time with the coaches as well as find out more about their plans for him in the offense.

Davis is a cousin of former Mountaineers great wide receiver Chris Henry and position coach Tyron Carrier served as the lead recruiter for the talented prospect.

Overall, Davis becomes the ninth commitment for the Mountaineers in the 2018 class and the second wide receiver prospect following Holly Springs (N.C.) athlete Bryce Wheaton.

WVSports.com will have more on this news moving forward.
