Golson makes two

West Virginia got its first commitment from Georgia Military College this morning when wide receiver Mario Alford sent his LOI to Coach Dana Holgorsen. The Mountaineers hit pay dirt from Milledgeville, GA once again when Linebacker Brandon Golson did the same just a few hours later.

Golson switched his verbal commitment from Arizona to West Virginia after visiting Morgantown just two weekends ago. Even after a short recruitment by WVU the South Carolina product decided that West Virginia was just too good to pass up.
Out of high school the 6-foot-3 230-pound linebacker committed to South Carolina. Unable to get in he took a slight detour to Georgia Military College and this summer he will likely end his college career in Morgantown.
Golson is a linebacker who could step in and play the inside if needed but also fit well into the BUCK linebacker position. A position West Virginia will need someone to step in to play with the graduation of Josh Francis.
