Hensley makes No. 14

West Virginia picked up its seventh commitment in the month of June when Centerville (Oh.) linebacker Adam Hensley pledged to the Mountaineers football program.
Hensley, 6-foot-3, 210-pounds, received his first scholarship offer from West Virginia and the Mountaineers were a mainstay in his recruitment sticking out as one of the top schools on his list throughout the course of the process.

"It was a great honor for West Virginia to be my first offer. I knew they were real interested in me and my head coach had hinted at me getting offered by them," he said at the time. "It means a lot to me. It's a Big 12 School and one of the best football schools around."
The Rivals.com three-star made multiple visits to Morgantown over the course of the process and drew the attention of the coaching staff in large part because of his speed and athleticism at linebacker.
Defensive line coach Bruce Tall served as the lead recruiter for Hensley and the two were able to get to know each other well when the linebacker visited Morgantown for the junior day festivities in January. Given his size and speed, West Virginia is targeting Hensley at the outside linebacker spot in college.
Hensley also had offers from Illinois, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Bowling Green, Miami (Oh.), Ohio, Toledo and Ball State and had received interest from a number of other schools including Ohio State and Northwestern.
Rated as the 46th best linebacker in the nation, Hensley becomes the 14th commitment for West Virginia in the class of 2016 and the second in as many days following Detroit (Mi.) Martin Luther King running back Martell Pettaway.
Hensley represents the fourth linebacker pledge in the 2016 class following commitments from Freeport Area Senior (Pa.) linebacker Logan Thimons, Toledo (Oh.) Central Catholic linebacker Zach Sandwisch and Bridgeport (W.Va.) linebacker Dylan Tonkery.
Hensley plans to study engineering in college and the campus atmosphere in Morgantown is something that stood out to him following his previous visits.
WVSports.com will have more on this breaking news including a full interview with Hensley.
