West Virginia has added the services of its second graduate transfer on the defensive front this off-season by securing the commitment and signature of former Clemson defensive lineman Jabril Robinson.

Robinson, 6-foot-2, 270-pounds, announced his decision to leave the Tigers football program in late January after serving as a reserve for the past three seasons.

After an initial redshirt season, Robinson saw 338 snaps over his time with the Clemson football team appearing in 23 total games.

The North Carolina native recorded 38 tackles, three tackles for loss and a sack during that time but saw his most extensive action during last year for a loaded Tigers defensive front playing over 200 snaps.

Robinson visited West Virginia during the spring game weekend and the Mountaineers were aggressive in their pursuit of the graduate transfer defensive lineman from early in the process and that resulted in his commitment over a month later.

Robinson joins former USC defensive lineman Kenny Bigelow as graduate transfers up front for the Mountaineers this offseason and he will have one year of eligibility remaining in his career.

After graduating in December, Robinson elected to pursue his transfer options and found a landing spot at West Virginia where he will enter a situation where there are currently only five scholarship players on the roster with five more including himself joining the program in the summer.

A defensive tackle at Clemson, Robinson could fill several roles at West Virginia.

WVSports.com will have more with Robinson in the near future.
