Shuler to transfer from WVU

Redshirt junior defensive end Adam Shuler was not listed on the official West Virginia football roster Wednesday and has left the team.

WVSports.com confirmed this information with the sports information department and Shuler later posted about his decision on social media.

A source indicated that Shuler would be pursuing a career in track.

Shuler finished last season with 37 tackles, 8 tackles for loss and 3 sacks appearing in 12 games. For his two seasons combined he tallied 67 tackles and 4 sacks.

The Florida native started 10 of the 12 games he played for West Virginia last season, while appearing in 12 games during his redshirt freshman season with one start.

The Mountaineers now have a total of ten scholarship defensive linemen, with three of those being true freshmen for the start of the 2018 season.
