West Virginia Football Picked Seventh in Big 12 Pre-Season Media Poll
West Virginia has been selected seventh in the Big 12 football pre-season media poll.
The Mountaineers received 581 points, slotting them behind Utah, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Arizona and Iowa State.
West Virginia will play all but Utah this coming season providing the Mountaineers the opportunity to challenge what is expected to be much of the league's top half.
The rest of the teams following West Virginia are UCF, Texas Tech, TCU, Colorado, Baylor, BYU, Cincinnati, Houston and Arizona State.
Of that group, the Mountaineers will play UCF, Texas Tech, Baylor and Cincinnati.
West Virginia opens the season Aug. 31 against Penn State.
