WVU earns spot in top three for Stills

West Virginia, Florida and Oklahoma are the top three for Stills.
West Virginia, Florida and Oklahoma are the top three for Stills.

West Virginia is one of three schools that sit at the top for Fairmont (W.Va.) Senior defensive lineman Dante Stills.

Stills, 6-foot-4, 265-pounds, is rated as the nation’s No. 146 best prospect and has released a top group that consists of West Virginia, Florida and Oklahoma.

The Rivals.com four-star prospect has strong ties to the West Virginia football program considering that he’s the son of former Mountaineers pass rushing legend Gary and the brother of 2017 signee Darius.

The younger Stills also has been a frequent visitor to campus over the past several years considering that he has grown up in the shadow of Morgantown.

The Mountaineers were the first college program to extend a scholarship offer to Stills after an MVP performance at one of the summer camps as a high school sophomore.

Florida and Oklahoma are two schools that have offered in the spring and both programs have the attention of the talented prospect for a number of reasons.

Earning an invite to the Nike Opening as well as the Rivals Five-Star Challenge in Indianapolis, Stills has only seen his recruiting profile continue to blossom this spring with offers from over 25 programs.

Stills said he plans to focus on those three programs moving forward.

WVSports.com will continue to track the recruitment of Stills.
