WVU lands 2019 guard McBride

DISCUSS: Visit the Blue Lot to discuss West Virginia all year long

West Virginia has landed a piece to its 2019 recruiting class when Cincinnati (Oh.) Moeller guard Miles McBride committed to the Mountaineers.

McBride, 6-foot-1, 180-pounds, visited West Virginia for the Texas game and that is when the coaching staff pulled the trigger on a scholarship offer.

From there, it took some time to mull it over before announcing his decision to commit to the Mountaineers and he made that call Tuesday.

“I have decided to commit to coach (Bob) Huggins and the West Virginia Mountaineers,” he wrote.

The 2019 guard prospect has continued to improve on the offensive end, but takes great pride in his abilities on the defensive end of the floor.

"They think I can really deliver pressure on defense and could see me being an explosive scorer," he previously told WVSports.com.

This past season he averaged just under 11 points and four rebounds per contest. He also held a scholarship offer from Duquesne.
