WVU Picks Up Basketball Commitment

West Virginia's basketball program has received a verbal commitment from forward Brad Byerson. The Colonial Heights, Virginia athlete visited Morgantown this past weekend and reportedly committed to the Mountaineer staff at that time.

“He plays the three, four, and five position for us. He’s a great kid, runs the floor well and just has great hands. As a player he understands the game of basketball and he’s just a great kid that only comes along every now and then,” Byerson’s coach Eddie Goss said.
Byerson, who averaged 17 points, 12 rebounds, 3.2 assists and two steals as a junior. He was named Second Team All-State in the Group AAA boys division last season.
