2027 QB Dixon has strong ties to WVU, impresses at camp

Towson (Md.) Concordia Prep 2027 quarterback Justin Dixon already knew about the West Virginia football program and for good reason.

Both of his parents attended the school and his father Terry Dixon played football for the Mountaineers under former head coach Don Nehlen.

So, naturally, he knows quite a bit about the school

"I know that WVU is the 15th most winningest team in college as well as produced many pros and all-Americans including my uncle Butkus Award nominee Canute Curtis,” he said.

Dixon, 6-foot-2, 185-pounds, attended the first one-day camp of the summer in Morgantown and impressed with his ability to throw the football in a competitive setting. He was able to get some advice on how to continue to improve from position coach Tyler Allen and head coach Neal Brown.

“Overall the coaches said they love my size, accuracy, poise and arm talent,” he said.

The signal-caller left highly impressed with the experience on campus and talent level that he competed against in Morgantown.

“I loved the organization of the camp. It was ran really smoothly,” he said.

Despite the fact he was a 2027 recruit, college coaches have been impressed with his size, arm talent, poise, accuracy and leadership on the field.

Dixon also plans to camp at Penn State, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Syracuse and Maryland this summer.

The underclassman is looking for a program where he can find the right combination of a family atmosphere, a winning culture and where he can best be developed as a player and a student.
