Five questions about WVU heading into East Carolina

Coming off a narrow defeat to Virginia Tech in the season opener, West Virginia will play host to a familiar foe when East Carolina comes to town.

The Pirates, who are coming off a 34-14 loss to FCS James Madison, will travel to Morgantown for the 22nd meeting all-time between the two schools.

1—How will West Virginia bounce back? Losing a hard-fought rivalry game when you’re on the doorstep of trying it is never easy. But the quick turnaround isn’t going to allow the Mountaineers to feel sorry for themselves for long with East Carolina set to come to town this Saturday. Yes, this is the same Pirates football team that just lost to FCS defending national champion James Madison 34-14 at home, but every game is different and the Mountaineers will have to change gears quickly. What happened on Fed-Ex Field is done and over, that can’t be changed.
