It took Ellis Lankster three swings to get it right, but West Virginia finally got its man.

Coming out of Vigor High School in Mobile, Alabama; the cornerback had only one suitor in high school in Alabama Birmingham but would have had much more had his grades been better aligned.

A Group 6A first team all-state selection, Lankster rushed for over 1,000 yards on the offensive side while displayed excellent coverage ability as a cornerback.
