Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern 2024 cornerback Daniel James had been in contact with West Virginia for quite some time but things took a step forward when the program offered a scholarship.

James, 5-foot-11, 170-pounds, already has collected 20-plus scholarship offers at this stage of the process but the Mountaineers formally jumped into the mix during the contact period.
