Cheshire Academy (Ct.) 2025 wide receiver Teriq Mallory is down to a list of four schools with a commitment date coming in the near future.
Mallory, 6-foot-5, 190-pounds, has trimmed his down to West Virginia, Maryland, Duke and Wake Forest.
He has visited each of those programs and all of them are targeting him as a pass catcher.
“They all stand out because when I stepped on campus I was blown away,” he said.
The Rivals.com three-star prospect received a scholarship offer on his last trip to West Virginia and while he has yet to make it back he has developed a strong bond with the coaches with wide receivers coach Bilal Marshall serving as the main point of contact.
“We have been texting off and on and building a true relationship,” he said.
The West Virginia coaches have made it clear that they like what Mallory brings to the table as a pass catcher and there are opportunities for him to succeed early in his career.
“They love me a lot and they believe if I get there and put my head down and work I can make an impact on the field as soon as possible,” he said.
Mallory plans to narrow down his list even further in the coming weeks and expects to make his commitment during that time frame as well. At this point, the only school that he has seen on a game day is Maryland but he is keeping an open mind with each of his finalists.
“All of them across the board I love,” he said.
Mallory has an official visit booked to Wake Forest at this stage but he is in the process of scheduling them to more of his final options as the process proceeds.
