Harmony (Pa.) Seneca Valley Senior 2026 tight end Adam Gehm isn’t located far from West Virginia but made his first visit to Morgantown for the season finale against UCF.

Gehm, 6-foot-6, 225-pounds, already held offers from programs such as Wisconsin, Maryland, Syracuse and Vanderbilt but received the news that West Virginia was jumping into the mix during his trip to campus.

Tight ends coach Blaine Stewart is the coach who gave him the news in a one-on-one meeting with Gehm and his father where he outlined where the tight end fit into West Virginia’s plans.

“Hearing that felt amazing especially since Coach Stewart and I have built a strong relationship throughout the recruiting process since last off-season,” he said.

From there, Gehm was able to meet with head coach Neal Brown and overall adding the offer to his list was quite meaningful given how the coaching staff has made an impression on him at this stage.

“This offer is definitely a meaningful one to me. It was a great visit. The atmosphere was amazing,” he said.

Gehm is coming off a season where he had 6 catches for 40 yards and a touchdown but programs like his ability to fix into the box and block on top of being a weapon out of the slot or even to split out. The coaching staff compared his skill set to that of tight end Kole Taylor.

“A lot of the schools who have offered me have current tight ends who play just like me,” he said.

The trip to West Virginia is the latest for Gehm who also has taken trips to North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Penn State, Maryland, and Syracuse but given the proximity to Morgantown, he plans to make it back for another visit in the winter or spring for another look.

Gehm doesn’t want to make a college decision until sometime around the mid-summer prior to his senior season and he wants to find a program that is going to best develop him.

“How well I fit into the team’s offensive system. Another major factor will be the relationships I build with the coaches. Knowing exactly what I’m committing to and feeling confident in those relationships will matter the most to me,” he said.
