It isn’t often that West Virginia recruits the state of Connecticut but the process opens new doors. Such is the case with Greenwich wide receiver Cornelius Johnson.

Johnson, 6-foot-3, 195-pounds, already held double-digit scholarship offers from programs such as Virginia, Northwestern, Pittsburgh, Boston College, Duke and Rutgers but while he wasn’t necessarily expecting an offer from West Virginia to follow it didn’t shock him either.
