Cincinnati (Oh.) Indian Hill 2019 defensive lineman Jalen Thornton has some strong ties to the West Virginia football program given the fact his father John played there.

Now he has the same opportunity after the Mountaineers extended a scholarship offer following the one-day camp Wednesday.

Thornton, 6-foot-2, 240-pounds, had been to Morgantown multiple times on unofficial visits but this was the first time he competed in a one-day camp and he caught the eye of the coaches with his performance.
