Two thousand and four wasn’t your typical recruiting year in the Mountain State as there were four in-state players that earned and eventually accepted scholarship offers from West Virginia during that cycle.

But little did anyone know at the time, that the lowest ranked of the bunch would go on to have the biggest impact of them all in the gold and blue.

Reed Williams was a standout football and basketball player at Moorefield High School.
