West Virginia needed to find more experience in the backend of the defense and the coaching staff has accomplished that by adding Louisville safety transfer Josh Minkins.

Minkins, 6-foot-2, 200-pounds, started 17 games during his time with the Cardinals and immediately moved onto the radar for the Mountaineers when he elected to enter into the transfer portal.
