Fort Worth (Tx). North Crowley 2026 defensive back Aaron Bradshaw heard a lot of things about West Virginia prior to his official visit to campus.
The experience cleared all that up and more.
Bradshaw, 6-foot-5, 190-pounds, took his official visit to campus June 11-13 and the trip exceeded his expectations on the first day of the trip.
“I didn’t meet one bad person in West Virginia and the team is full of good guys. Everybody on the team is big-hearted and truthful,” he said.
The Rivals.com four-star prospect was impressed with the environment around the program as well as the natural scenery, making the trek over from Texas.
On the football side, Bradshaw spent a lot of time speaking with both safeties coach Gabe Franklin and defensive coordinator Zac Alley about the scheme and his fit within it. Bradshaw was able to learn more about Alley’s scheme and the history of success that he’s had with it at the college level.
“It’s just amazing. They’re proven winners,” he said.
Franklin has been the lead recruiter for Bradshaw and his persistence in his recruitment led to him coming to Morgantown in order to see the school for himself.
The Mountaineers are targeting Bradshaw as a safety in the scheme, either at the field or boundary but he also believes that he could be a fit at nickel.
“They play an aggressive defense that causes a lot of turnovers, forced fumbles, interceptions and tackles for loss,” he said. “I love that it’s a defense anybody can play in.”
Bradshaw is currently committed to Texas Tech and will next take a visit to see the Red Raiders June 20-22, but admitted that the experience in Morgantown is one that was key for his recruitment.
“West Virginia is a great place to be a football player and a great place to live. A lot of upside to it. The biggest thing was just going to see it for myself,” he said.
