Freeland (Mi.) 2026 offensive tackle Tristan Comer has changed his body to make himself an offensive lineman at the next level and college programs have taken notice.
Comer, 6-foot-6, 262-pounds, picked up an offer from West Virginia along with Cincinnati recently as well as a number of other programs expressing interest.
Offensive line coach Jack Bicknell has served as the lead recruiter for the Mountaineers and was the assistant who gave him the news about the program offering a scholarship.
“I know that the school has a great football program and engineering program,” he said. “I really like their family wall where they have a picture of each player’s family.”
Comer is being targeted as an offensive tackle at the next level, and Bicknell informed him that he was impressed with what he brings to the table at the position.
“He really likes my athleticism and ability to move,” he said.
Comer was part of an offensive that rushed for over 3,000 yards last season and he recorded 50+ pancake blocks along the offensive line.
The plan is for Comer to take an official visit to Morgantown in early June and he is currently working on the date when that will occur. He also plans to visit Oregon State and Cincinnati.
When the time comes to make his college choice, Comer wants the right mix of a good family culture, great academic offerings and where he is going to be best developed for the next step in his career.
