Bridgeville (Pa.) Chartiers Valley 2023 cornerback Lamont Payne didn’t know much about the West Virginia football program prior to his visit in late July but left impressed.

Payne, 6-foot-1, 170-pounds, has held an offer from West Virginia for quite some time but was able to make it to Morgantown in order to see all the program had to offer.
