Greenville (S.C.) 2024 pass catcher Mazeo Bennett has known West Virginia wide receivers coach Tony Washington for quite some time in terms of the recruiting process.

The two first met last summer and their relationship grew through his tenure at Coastal Carolina where he became the first to offer him and that has only continued with Washington landing in Morgantown.
