West Mifflin (Pa.) 2025 offensive lineman Jaiden Brown-Demery received a scholarship offer from West Virginia and then made the quick turnaround to visit Morgantown.
And it’s a trip that Brown-Demery felt was certainly worthwhile.
“The visit was outstanding and what stood out to me was that we didn’t just talk about football the whole time. We were talking about our education, what we would potentially like to study and also what we would like to do in the future after football,” he said.
The junior day stop definitely exceeded the expectations for Brown-Demery who was able to sit down and spend a lot of time with offensive line coach Matt Moore as well as head coach Neal Brown.
Moore was able to speak directly with the 2025 prospect about a possible transition to offensive guard.
“He likes that I’m physical and that I have a nasty playing style. I think I would fit the scheme perfectly because I can pull pretty good and I can get upfield,” he said.
Brown-Demery believes that the scholarship offer from West Virginia is exciting and he wants to see how things continue to develop between him and the coaches moving forward.
“It feels amazing to have an offer,” he said.
Next up for Brown-Demery are stops at Pittsburgh and Penn State and he also plans to come back to Morgantown for another look at what the Mountaineers have to offer.
There are no set plans for how the process proceeds for Brown-Demery, but he does want to eventually find the location that offers the best academic fit as well as the strongest relationship with the coaches.
