The West Virginia Mountaineers basketball program has landed a commitment from South Carolina guard Morris Ugusuk.
Joe Tipton of On3 was first to report the news.
Ugusuk, 6-foot-4, 170-pounds, spent two seasons with the Gamecocks where he appeared in 62 games and started 6 of those.
This past year, Ugusuk averaged 5.9 points and 1.4 rebounds while shooting 38.4-percent from the floor and 40.7-percent from three.
The Helsinki, Finland native entered the transfer portal April 4 and now gives the Mountaineers a large guard that has had success at the high major level.
Ugusuk has two years of eligibility remaining.
Ugusuk is the eighth transfer portal addition for West Virginia this off-season and brings the total to nine overall for the Mountaineers on the roster.
WVSports.com will have more with Ugusuk in the near future.
